Guardian Homes
At Foga & Friends, we believe every dog deserves to live as a loved family companion first.
Our guardian home program allows select dogs in our breeding program to live full-time with carefully chosen families while remaining part of Foga & Friends for a portion of their lives. Guardian families get to love, raise, and enjoy their dog as their own while partnering with us as we thoughtfully plan for the future of our program.
Guardian opportunities may include Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bernedoodles, Poodles, males, or females, depending on what we are looking to add or preserve within our program. Read more below.
Could a Guardian Home Be Right for You?
Guardian homes are a great fit for families who want a deeply loved family dog and are also comfortable being part of a breeding program.
The dog lives with you as your family companion, while Foga & Friends retains breeding rights for an agreed-upon period of time. Because guardian families are partnering with us in our breeding program, the traditional pet purchase price for the dog is waived, which can make bringing home a wonderful companion more accessible for the right family.
We work closely with our guardian families throughout the process, and once the dog's breeding career is complete, they retire permanently with their guardian family.
